Stressed out???

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God” (Philippians 4:6).

There are few emotions that are as unhealthy as stress, which can cause not only physical issues but problems in our relationships with ourselves and others. For some people, overcoming stress is a daily battle. Stress can cause people to act blindly and aggressively, and make choices that could be harmful to themselves and others.

Letting go of stress can be a big step towards making your life not only easier but happier, as well. I know when I get stressed out, I get impatient with those around me, especially my family. I also notice that I lose my appetite and my skin breaks out a little. No fun!

What stresses you out in life? How do you handle stress? It’s easy to get stressed out, and it happens to all of us, but the best thing to do is to say a prayer and ask God to help you carry your burdens.

Dear God,

There is nothing too big for You.

I know that You would never lead me

To a situation that I can’t handle.

Please lend me Your strength,

So that I might overcome every hardship.
